After the uproar over his statements on his son’s Twitch, Messi’s brother has lowered his tone with an apology text

“For us, Catalonia is our second home and that is public knowledge. I am very sorry and I apologize to everyone,” he assured on Instagram

Matías Messi has qualified his words after the commotion caused by his latest statements about his brother Leo and Barcelona.

In a statement on his personal Instagram profile, Matías has shared an apology text in which he softens his words assuring that what was said on his son’s Twitch was just a joke:

“I want to vindicate myself for what I said on social networks, I was just with my son and friends making a joke. How am I going to think that of a club as big as him? Barcelona and its history, which has given us a lot both my family and Leo.

For us Catalonia is our second home and that is public knowledge. I’m very sorry and I apologize to everyone, especially the Barcelona fans.”

In the clip to which he refers, the brother of the ex ’10’ Barcelona had ensured that “if we go back we are going to do a good cleaning, among other things throw out Joan Laportaan ungrateful person”, something that he has not withdrawn in his new statement.

However, if he has apologized after his harsh words against the ‘Gent Blaugrana’, in which he attacked the attitude of Barcelona for his brother’s goodbye: “People should have gone out to march for Laporta to leave and Messi to stay. The FC Barcelona museum is Messi’s museum. The Spaniards are traitors,” he snapped.
