Men attack gay couple with stick, cobblestone and fists

Last night in Neukölln, a couple was homophobically insulted and attacked by unidentified young men.

According to the police, a 48-year-old was walking with his friend (43) around 11:30 p.m. on Ilsestrasse.

Suddenly, according to the police, a group of four to five young men threw a paving stone at the couple. Luckily, he didn’t hit either of them and hit the sidewalk between them.

The couple went on, the group is said to have insulted the two and spat after the men.

The 48-year-old is said to have been attacked by the young men with fists and a stick.

The group then fled. The 48-year-old suffered head, arm and back injuries. The companion was unharmed. State security is now investigating.
