“Meet Me in the Bathroom” – Celine designer Hedi Slimane opens his rock’n’roll photo archive

Hedi Slimane – photographer, designer and co-founder of the modern rock ‘n’ roll aesthetic – browses his photo archive in celebration of the documentary “Meet Me in the Bathroom”.

To celebrate directors Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern’s release of the film, Celine creative director created a concert poster from photos of his past taken between 2001 and 2011. The documentary, based on Elizabeth Goodman’s book of the same name, which chronicles the revival of New York’s rock scene in the mid-2000s, will premiere in New York and Los Angeles later this month, the French fashion house announced on Tuesday.

Slimane is known for his love of rock ‘n’ roll and his creations that combine it with fashion. As creative director at Dior Homme in the early noughties, the fashion designer and photographer worked with countless greats of rock music, such as The Strokes, The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand and The Killers. The designer also brought this passion to Celine in 2018 and has since worked with young musical talents such as Gracie Abrams and rock legends such as Jack White.

Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern’s “Meet Me in the Bathroom” is out in US theaters on November 11th.
