Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo is now allowed to leave Manchester United, according to a media report.

As the English “Telegraph” reported on Tuesday, unlike in the summer, coach Erik ten Hag should now agree to a change if there is a suitable offer for the 37-year-old striker in the winter transfer window. Ronaldo’s contract runs until June 30, 2023.

Ronaldo was reportedly keen to leave the English record champions in the summer as the five-time Champions League winner wanted to play in the premier club again. However, the Netherlands boss and the Premier League club’s management insisted he stay.

Under ter Hag, the five-time world footballer in Manchester hardly plays a role anymore. In the 3: 6 against Manchester City on Saturday, Ronaldo was even on the bench for 90 minutes. “I didn’t bring Cristiano out of respect for his great career,” explained ten Hag after the game. He wanted to spare him the shame on the pitch.

The Portuguese international made his only start-up appearance in the 4-0 defeat by Brentford on August 13, since then he has only played 80 minutes in the league as a substitute and is still without a goal.
