With meadow bird protector and researcher Aad van Paassen we look at the birds on the country of Geijsel in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. “There are many ducks. Wild ducks, pretends, wispers, slobe ducks, wintries and even a pair of arrow tails.”
They all come into the picture. And then the godwits. There are about twenty, who fly a little together with some lapwing. “They first gather here at this marshy pasture and then look for a place for their nest in the surrounding polders.”
