The new season of the Museum of Paper Cutting was officially opened on Friday by Mayor Cees Bijl. The museum underwent a metamorphosis after a major renovation. Proud chairman Bert Brouwer recalled the extensive work carried out by volunteers in recent months. The layout has become a lot clearer.

Mayor Bijl praised the volunteers’ self-motivation and the beautiful collection. Special work from the Verhave collection will be part of the collection in the Museum of Paper Cutting this summer. Joke and Jan Peter Verhave have built up a beautiful collection of cutting work over the years. The museum may exhibit part of this collection during the 2022 season, mainly work from the period 1750 to 1870.

Curator Jan Leever has arranged all works in such a way that they all come into their own. During opening hours there are demonstrations and it is also possible for the visitor to get started with paper and scissors.
