Mayor Beverwijk expects more investigations into criminal offenses: ‘We will act firmly’

Mayor Martijn Smit van Beverwijk does not exclude the fact that the police made more arrests in the short term after the unrest by rival groups of young people. After the arrests of a 19-year-old boy from Beverwijk and a 20-year-old man from Heemskerk, the mayor says that there is currently ‘several investigations on criminal offenses’.
