Watch gift for Queen Máxima
Namely a watch. And not just any one: it’s the Hermès Cape Cod, one set with diamonds and with a crocodile leather strap. You understand that this comes with a hefty price tag: the watch costs about € 6650 converted. The watch is inspired by the famous Chaîne d’Ancre bracelet from Hermès. The name Cape Cod is named after a peninsula on the coast of Massachusetts.
tie dress
Máxima wore Mary Katrantzou’s tie dress this evening. This Greek designer was inspired by vintage ties for the dress. Máxima has already been spotted in the dress at a Christmas gala in 2016 and at the King’s Day concert in 2018.
Prize giving
Máxima was allowed to announce the prize winners of the King Willem I prizes 2022. The award ceremony took place in the Forum in Groningen. These prizes are awarded every two years in the categories of large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises. The Plaque for Sustainable Entrepreneurship also rewards sustainable innovations from small or large organisations. Queen Máxima is honorary president of the foundation that organizes the award ceremony.
