Max Houkes takes tournament victory in doubles at Rwanda Challenger

TENNIS – Max Houkes (23) from Sleen and his French doubles partner Clément Tabur have won the Rwanda Challenger. In two sets they were too strong for the Thai/Indonesian couple: Pruchya Isaro and Christopher Rungkat.

Houkes and Tabur won the first set 6-3. The second set had to be decided in one tiebreaker which the duo won 7-4.

Earlier this week, Houkes reached the singles semi-finals. It was his best performance ever. The final was still a step too far. He lost in a three-setter to the Pole Kamil Majchrzak.
