With oh and noise, FC Bayern moved into the round of 16 of the Champions League. Two possible top opponents are waiting there. Sports director Eberl has a preference.

“We will see what’s coming. If you say European Cup, you would like to play internationally,” said Eberl. A purely German duel doesn’t fit. The game will be played in early March, the first leg the Bayern is carrying out in their own arena.

National team captain Joshua Kimmich spoke of “two strong opponents” with different ways of playing. Coach Vincent Kompany emphasized: “No matter which opponent, we definitely want to do it again.”
