Maurice Neubauer was on the pitch for Elversberg in all 29 second division games of the season. Now the defender is moving to Hanover.

Hannover 96 has hired left-back Maurice Neubauer from league competitor SV Elversberg. The 28-year-old moved to the Lower Saxony in the summer, confirmed a club spokesman.

The Saarland service provider will receive a three -year contract in Hanover until 2028. Neubauer was used this season in all previous 29 league games for the Saarland third in the table. He stood on the pitch over the full 90 minutes, scored two goals and prepared six goals.
