Matthijs de Ligt in swimming trunks wins against Paul de Leeuw in red briefs

Two celebrities pulled down their pants on television yesterday: Matthijs de Ligt could be admired on RTL 4 in swimming trunks, while Paul de Leeuw scared the NPO 3 viewer with his red briefs.

Last night on television it was extensively about the muscular legs of two male celebrities, namely that of Matthijs de Ligt and that of Paul de Leeuw. Where the footballer was a guest in Beau van Erven Dorens’ sunny interview show, Paul had to buffalo in Raven van Dorst’s farm show.

Matthew’s legs

Matthijs made quite an impression with his muscular legs. “Can you show me those legs? How did you get there?”, presenter Beau van Erven Dorens asked him.

The footballer then: “Yes, a bit genetically. I used to have big legs. In my family, on my grandmother’s side, they all have big legs, so I think I took it from that.”

Beau: “Not normal and you benefit a lot from that.”

Fellow guest Diederik Ebbinge: “Did your grandmother have legs like that?”

Matthijs: “No, my grandmother’s family.”

Beau: “But does that also bother you? I can imagine that you may also suffer from such sturdy legs.”

Matthijs: “I can’t wear jeans. I can not do that.”

Paul’s legs

On to Paul’s legs: he took off his trousers to put on overalls. “You do have nice legs,” commented fellow guest Simone Weimans.

Paul deadly serious: “I used to be a newspaper deliverer, so I always cycled.”

Raven: “That’s why you still have muscular calves. Hahaha.”

Simone: “Your thighs do have some kind of muscles.”

Paul: “I always have.”

The ratings? Matthijs easily beats Paul: where Isola di Beau grabbed more than 1.2 million viewers (21 percent market share) on RTL 4, Paul and his red slip in Farm Van Dorst had to settle for 530 thousand viewers (10 percent) on NPO 3 .

Linda waves off

Besides Beau, especially NPO 1’s Between Art and Kitsch (1.2 million and 26 percent), RTL 4’s Een tegen 50 (1 million and 21 percent) and NPO 1’s Aria (980 thousand and 18 percent) scored well in prime time. In the afternoon and early evening, the World Cup opening match between Qatar and Ecuador attracted almost 2.2 million viewers (54 percent).

And Linda de Mol? She waved off with 390 thousand viewers (8 percent) for her failed drama series Five Live on SBS 6, not enough for a place in the top 25.
