BVB game: Apparently TV decision with Sammer

Matthias Sammer is one of the most prominent TV experts in German football. But his role at Prime Video met with little benevolence in Dortmund. That has followed.

Sammer’s double function as a BVB consultant and TV expert had recently triggered some discussions. Especially after the 1-2 defeat against FC Bologna, the 57-year-old came under criticism. According to Media reports, BVB sports director Lars Ricken made it clear internally that Sammer had to make a decision: either as an expert at Amazon Prime or as a club consultant-both are no longer possible at BVB games at the same time. Sammer chose his role in Dortmund.
