Nick Woltemade wanted to switch to Bayern, but it failed due to the sum that Munich offered. According to Matthew, new movement could come into a possible transfer.

According to Lothar Matthäus, the possible farewell to Kingsley Coman could pave the way for a change from Nick Woltemade to Bayern. In his Sky column, the record national player wrote that a departure of the French would bring income that could be used for new transfers.

Bayern’s sports director Max Eberl had said last week that a transfer of the 23-year-old from VfB Stuttgart was currently “off the table” because the Swabians do not want to negotiate with the Munich residents. For Matthew, however, the upcoming Comans change to the Saudi club al-Nassr could change the situation. The Bavarians would then be under pressure.

“Of course it is said that you are not put under pressure, but on the other hand you also have an obligation to Woltemade, which has clearly and clearly known to Bayern,” said Matthew in his column.

According to media reports, Bayern offered 50 million euros plus five million of possible bonuses. However, Stuttgart should only be ready to talk from a sum of at least 65 million. Matthäus advises the club to increase the offer – also with a view to the transfer of Luis Díaz, for which the Munich team paid 75 million euros.

“If you spend 75 million for one player, you can spend as much for the other, who is five years younger and German international,” wrote Matthew. He concluded: “If Munich comes with a transfer fee that satisfies VfB Stuttgart, then Woltemade will be at Bayern in the coming season.”
