Mati ja Tepo’s company, MTR-Music Oy, or Matti ja Teppo Ruohonen’s company, was hit hard by the artists’ hiatus, which started in the summer of last year.
The company’s turnover in its most recent financial period, in 2024, was 69,000 euros. There was a loss of 82,000 euros in the accounting period.
A year earlier, the turnover was multiple times. The turnover for 2023 was 373,000 euros. The profit for the accounting period was 98,000 euros.
However, MTR-Music Oy is still in good shape, because even after the worst accounting period, the company had 511,00 euros of distributable funds.
Matti and Teppo recently announced their return. The duo just released a new song, My Love. The new album was also announced. It will be published next spring.
The duo took a break last year due to Mati’s health concerns. The doctor advised him to stay on sick leave and the duo canceled all their summer gigs. It was said that Mati will already suffer from an inner ear infection in the fall of 2023.
Tepo’s son Santeri recently commented to the public that Uncle Matti seems well.
– Yes, he seemed in good health and enthusiastic, but I can’t really comment on this matter, he told Iltalehte.
