Mathieu van der Poel will participate in the Amstel Gold Race next week. He confirmed this on Sunday after his victory in the Tour of Flanders. Van der Poel won the Gold Race in 2019 after an extremely exciting final. In 2020, the Dutch classic was canceled due to the corona measures. Last year, Van der Poel took a rest period after the Tour of Flanders in view of his mountain bike ambitions.
