Actor, theater maker and singer Mathias Sercu (54), with roots in Ardooie, proved once again that he is also a gifted screenwriter with the third successful season of Chantal. This year a book was also published about his family, which in recent years has been fighting the incurable cancer that his son Tore is suffering from. This autumn, Mathias also received development support for a new film, after he already made an impression in 2023 with the captivating ‘J’aime la vie’. In the middle of a difficult period, he also put the finishing touches to the fourth season of Chantal, which will be filmed next year.
