In the week in which the Mate Day will be carried out in the Blue Pavilion of La Ruralthe Matear Fair 2022. The meeting will take place from Friday, December 2 to Sunday, December 4, from 12 to 8 pm, with free admission.
In our country, the “National Mate Day”. The celebration was instituted with the purpose of promoting the permanent recognition of one of our most deeply rooted customs.
The date was chosen in honor of the birth of Andres Guacurari Artigaswho was the first governor of indigenous origin of the missionary territory and promoter of the production of yerba mate at the time of the country’s independence.
For this reason, the event will have 100 exhibitors who will make available to visitors a wide variety of brands and all the elements to enjoy a good mate. The fair is organized by the National Institute of Yerba Mate (INYM).
Visitors will be able to choose their favorite yerba, get to know new brands and tour the stands where the accessories that make up a good matero kit will be offered: mates, bombillas, thermoses and thermos holders. Also, in the space of the property there will be talks and workshops for all ages.
In addition to traditional brands, this year the fair will have the participation of entrepreneurs and small cooperatives that produce organic and agroecological yerba mate, aimed at meeting the demand of a constantly growing consumer segment.
