THEthe Municipality of Merano paid homage to the particular literary and cultural merits of poet, essayist and translator Mary de Rachewiltz granting her the honorary citizenship of Merano. The ceremony took place at the Pavillon des Fleurs in the presence of the centenarian, daughter of Ezra Poundand numerous guests of honor.
