Recently, Martin Kind had to take a step back due to his health. After two operations, the head of the supervisory board of the Hannover 96 professionals speaks out.
Health problems had recently slowed Martin Kind down considerably. The head of the professional supervisory board of second division team Hannover 96 subsequently had to undergo two operations. He is now “on a very good path to recovery,” according to a press release from Lower Saxony published on Friday on behalf of Kind.
In it, the entrepreneur explained that he had to undergo a “neurosurgical operation” and “cardiac surgery treatment”. Both interventions were successful.
“I am currently largely symptom-free and am following my doctors’ recommendation to take up rehabilitation measures in order to gradually regain my full ability to exercise,” said Kind: “I have been continuously involved in the daily business at Hannover 96 since being discharged from the hospital.”
After a dispute with the parent club Hannover 96 eV, Kind recently lost his position as managing director at Hannover 96 GmbH & Co. KGaA. In the professional department of the second division club, he acts as chairman of the supervisory board, and Kind is also managing director of Hannover Sales & Service GmbH & Co. KG and Hannover 96 Arena GmbH & Co. KG.
