The winter transfer phase is underway and the German clubs are in the middle of it. Rumors and fixed changes from the world of football can be found here.

With the beginning of 2025, the transfer window opened in the Bundesliga and other European leagues. In Germany the transfer period ends on February 3rd. After that, players can still move abroad, provided the leagues there have a later transfer deadline.

Which clubs are most in need of reinforcements, what is FC Bayern doing and what is the situation at the top European clubs? These and many other questions will be answered this transfer winter. At t-online you can find an overview of the most important guesses and changes from Germany and the world.

The Bundesliga third-place team is therefore looking for a successor to Marmoush. According to consistent media reports, Elye Wahi is one of Frankfurt’s possible new additions. As the pay-TV channel Sky and “Sport Bild” report, among others, the club is looking for a young player who can perform immediately.

Wahi, currently under contract with Olympique Marseille, is only 22 years old and would fit Eintracht’s profile perfectly. The only problem: He signed with the French until 2029. Marseille are also likely to demand a lot of money after Wahi signed him in the summer for 25 million euros. According to reports, Frankfurt is currently not prepared to pay that much.

Football superstar Neymar is about to return home. According to consistent media reports, the 32-year-old has reached an agreement with FC Santos. However, his current employer, Al-Hilal, has to agree to immediate release without severance pay despite his contract still being valid for six months. The offensive star was no longer registered for the second half of the Saudi Pro League.

Neymar’s father is in negotiations with the Saudi record champions. According to the media, his son is still entitled to $65 million under his contract. “Neymar is no longer at the level we are used to. Unfortunately, things have become difficult for him,” said Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus recently.

Manuel Riemann no longer plays a role at VfL Bochum. The long-time goalkeeper, who until recently was in a legal dispute with his club, is left out of the Bundesliga club. Coach Dieter Hecking relies on Patrick Drewes as number one and Timo Horn as his representative.

For this reason, Riemann, who was released by his club after internal conflicts shortly before the relegation games in May 2024 and recently complained about returning to team training, could move away from Bochum. According to consistent media reports, the 36-year-old will be joining second division club SC Paderborn. After the sometimes weak performances of Markus Schubert and Pelle Boevink in goal, Riemann would probably be expected to be a regular again.

Hannover 96 and defender Phil Neumann will go their separate ways from the summer. As Lower Saxony announced, the defender is moving to Birmingham City next season. The club is currently top of the table in England’s third highest league.
