Markus Vuorela has won the Military World Championship bronze medal in 15 kilometers of skiing. The Games will take place in Goms, Switzerland.
Vuorela folded 30.48.6 at the time of the trip. He missed the winning Italian Davide from Graz 42 seconds. Silver was taken by Graz’s compatriot Elia Barp. He won Vuorela by 8 seconds.
Arsi Ruuskanen, who finished fourth, complemented Finland’s great success.
France had sent a real star cream to the competition (Jules Lapierre–Richard Jouve – Hugo Lapalus-Jules Chappaz), but the gentlemen were 7-13.
Finns also participated in the race Ville Ahonen (12.) and Olli-Pekka Laitila (26).
There were no Finns in the women’s competition. Skiing skiing in Switzerland Nadja Kälin before Italian Caterina Ganz and French Flora Dolcia.
About 1,400 athletes from 43 countries will participate in the Soldiers’ World Cup. Vuorela arrived in Goms from the Kainuu Border Guard.
