New experience and learning new things were the biggest reasons that got an ex-hockey player Marko “M Örkö” Anttilan by Dancing with the stars program. His dance coach is working Kia Lehmuskoski.
Lehmuskoski tells Iltalehti at a press conference that his husband was tremendously excited when he learned about his wife’s star pair. The ex-hockey family’s family was also enthusiastic about hearing that the man was at TTK.
– I and my family have watched the program before and have a little dance to the choreographies on the living room carpet, so there was enthusiasm there, says Anttila.
With the exception of dancing in the living room, Anttila’s dance experience is otherwise thin. Experience can only be found in the old dances and wedding dance.
There is a large difference in length between the star pair when Anttila is 203 centimeters. Lehmuskoski thinks it is a great challenge for them.
– I have to think about the choreographies in such a way that Marko looks as good as possible. By no means do I want him to reduce himself, but that he can really be in his own length, says Lehmuskoski.
New career
Anttila ended his hockey career last spring. He has managed to take a break and enjoy the summer of Finland, but now the plans for the future are open.
– The patterns are pretty open that what you would like to start doing when it is big. But yes, there is definitely the right thing to do.

In June, it was announced that Anttila jumps into Ilves+ice hockey broadcasts in the role of an expert. According to the ex player, this work is just beginning.
– According to the current plan, I’m just in games – not in all home games, but most. I also get to visit the partners in the Aitio and the Ilves Club, Anttila lists his job.
– However, I like the sport quite a lot, so it’s great to see the other side as well. That how the match event is built when I myself have been there in the booth and in the rink, he continues.
Anttila is more silent about how new work is reflected in the salary. He confirms that the salary has changed from hockey races.
– Certainly it has changed somewhat. However, the slope is the most important part of the rink. But I haven’t thought about it either.
– Certainly it will be shaped over time. Let’s see what it will be. I have nothing else to say about it.
