Intermediate update Premier League
Transfermarkt have updated the market values of the Ukrainian Premier League. By far the biggest winner is Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk, 21, who has long been linked with a move this summer. The left winger, which was particularly popular at Bayer Leverkusen and Brentford, has increased by 6 million euros to 15 million euros, which means that he has meanwhile worked his way up to second place in the league-wide ranking. Almost exactly a year ago it was appraised at 900,000 euros.
Dynamo Kiev’s Viktor Tsygankov (24), who has been at the top since mid-2019, has the highest market value at EUR 25 million. In any case, there have only been a few upward or downward corrections to the top rankings in this update. In addition to Mudryk, two others with adjustments appear in the list of the ten most valuable players in the league: Georgiy Bushchan (28) from champions Kyiv and Artem Dovbyk (25) from SK Dnipro-1 are each up one million euros. On the side of the market value losers, the highest devaluation is EUR 500,000 for Kiev’s Vladyslav Supryaga (22), whose market value is now estimated at EUR 2.5 million. The striker, who played for Sampdoria in the second half of last season, has been out for weeks with a hip injury.
Kyiv is the only club with 109.8 million euros in the three-digit million range. Not counting Shakhtar, Dynamo alone is almost worth all other clubs combined. When the past season ended prematurely in April as a result of Russia’s war of aggression, the league was valued at around EUR 350 million; it currently stands at just over EUR 300 million. Many foreign professionals had made use of the FIFA rule and suspended their contracts or switched permanently to another club, which is why the number of legionnaires has now fallen to 44. The most valuable foreign player is Shakhtar’s Lassina Traoré (21), who is seventh in the league with a market value of €9m.
