Secondary agencies dominate
In the market value update in the Regionalliga Südwest, the two biggest winners, but also the biggest loser, come from the ranks of TSG Hoffenheim II. While Luka Hyryläinen (18) is down by 150,000 to 600,000 euros, his teammates Umut Tohumcu (18) are up. and David Mokwa (19) by 500,000 or to a starting value of 200,000 euros. Tohumcu’s market value of now 1.5 million euros is unmatched by any other player in the league.
The central midfielder can look back on 23 games last season in the regional league, after being promoted to the pros in winter, the German U19 international also played there. Eight games in the Bundesliga and one in the DFB Cup are on the books. At 17 years, nine months and three days, Tohumcu is the fourth youngest debutant in club history.
In addition to the Offenburg native, only teammate Muhammed Damar (19) has a market value in the seven-digit range. The midfield youngster keeps his estimate of one million euros, as does TSG colleague Fisnik Asllani (20; 800,000 euros), who finished second in the top scorer list with 14 goals.
All in all, talented players from the secondary representation of Hoffenheim, Stuttgart and Mainz occupy the first 14 places in the ranking of the most valuable players in the Regionalliga Südwest, TSG is represented with eight. Only then will Björn Jopek (29; stays at €250,000) from Kickers Offenbach and Laurin Curda (21; +150,000 to €225,000) from TSG Balingen, who will join SC Paderborn from July, follow, footballers from other teams.
