Gacinovic increases in the update
After three titles in a row, record champions Olympiacos Piraeus missed the four-pack in the past Super League 1 season, even though a total of 22 newcomers were signed in summer and winter. For most of these players, after 3rd place in the table in the market value update, things go downhill. Overall, the squad value falls from 90.5 to 77.9 million euros and thus by almost 14 percent.
This figure does not even include former Bayern professional James Rodríguez, who left the club ten weeks before the end of his contract after signing in mid-April in the summer. James had contributed five goals and six assists in 23 competitive games, but was unable to build on his former top form. The 31-year-old dropped from 9 million euros to 6 million euros, the biggest minus of the update.
Other former team-mates who were mostly downgraded for performance reasons are right winger Sergi Canós (-3 to €9m), former Hoffenheimer Diadié Samassékou (-3 to €7m), centre-back Pape Abou Cissé (-2 to €4m and €) as well as the two left wingers Georgios Masouras (-1.5 to €6m) and Zymer Bytyqi (-1, to €3.5m).

For the first time since 2018, AEK Athens became champions instead, where the two former Bundesliga professionals Mijat Gacinovic (28) and Steven Zuber (31) were among the top performers. After 14 goals, Gacinovic is up by half a million to 3.5 million euros, Zuber has consolidated his value of 2.5 million euros. Team colleague Levi García (25), who played the best season of his career with 25 goals and made a jump from 5 million to 7 million euros, catapulted himself into the top 3 in the league.
