Bundesliga update
Transfermarkt.at has completely updated the market values of the Austrian Bundesliga and series champions Red Bull Salzburg continue to ensure the top values. The biggest winner with a plus of 6.5 million euros is midfielder Luka Sucic (19), who is now valued at 20 million euros. Across the league, only his RB teammates Brenden Aaronson (21), Mohamed Camara (22) and Karim Adeyemi (20) surpass this market value.
While DFB national player Adeyemi confirms his market value of 35 million and remains the most valuable player in the league until his summer transfer to BVB, Aaronson, who is drawn to Leeds United, is up 5 million to 25 million euros and Camara up by 4 million to 27 million euros. Consequently, Camara, who is also being courted, would become the most valuable footballer in Austria after Adeyemi’s departure.
One that Salzburg can definitely count on in 2022/23 is Maximilian Wöber (24). The defender recently extended his contract by one season until 2025 – he was last traded at VfL Wolfsburg. The Austrian rises by €4m to €12m, setting a record as a central defender has never been more valuable in the Bundesliga. ÖFB team manager Ralf Rangnick recently called him back into the national squad.
In the second most valuable squad after RB Salzburg (EUR 256 million), Rapid Vienna (EUR 34.2 million), Yusuf Demir (18) is responsible for the biggest devaluation of this update with a minus of EUR 3 million. The attacker returned to his training club early from his loan from FC Barcelona in the winter and has only had one assist in 14 games since then. After a more or less lost year, his market value drops to 5 million euros, which means that Demir and Marco Grüll (23) now share the status of Rapid Vienna’s most valuable player. In October, the top talent was valued at 12 million euros.

This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. Examples of this are listed here. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for detailed market value definition).
