Update in Austria
Transfermarkt has subjected the market values of the 2nd division in Austria to an extensive update. There were upgrades for Karim Konaté from Liefering, among others. Although Salzburg’s farm team has had a mixed season so far and is against relegation, the 18-year-old drew attention to himself with ten goals in 14 league games and another five goals in six Youth League games, doubling his value from 2 million to 4 million Euro. It seems only a matter of time before the Ivorian national player makes his debut in the Bundesliga team.
His team-mate Lawrence Agyekum has already done this: the midfielder was even in the starting XI of the “Red Bulls” twice recently. The Ghanaian recorded an increase of 400,000 euros, his new market value is estimated at one million euros. Also upgraded from the Liefering ranks are Oumar Diakité (now 900,000 euros) and ÖFB talent Zeteny Jano (500,000 euros). Outside of the Red Bull cosmos, Matthias Seidl (photo) from title contender Blau-Weiss Linz is the most valuable player. The ten was able to increase its value again and now stands at one million euros. With twelve goals in 16 games, Seidl is the top scorer in the league and, thanks to four additional assists with a total of 16 goals, is also the top scorer. As a reward, ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick recently included him in the newly created perspective squad.
Jakob Schöller and Benedict Scharner, who were also upgraded, also made it into these. The only 16-year-old Schöller is in the central defense of Admira Wacker Mödling, who has been relegated to the Bundesliga, and is now at 300,000 euros. SKN offensive man Scharner, on the other hand, usually has to be content with the joker role, but the 17-year-old has shown his talent several times. For him it goes up to 250,000 euros.
Dornbirn striker Renan, Lafnitz winger Jurica Poldrugac and SKN striker Luis Hartwig were also upgraded. The German, who was loaned out to St. Pölten from Bochum, only started seven times, but scored eight goals and provided four assists and thus, together with Jaden Montnor (seven goals), played a key role in the Lower Austrians’ lead in the table.
Market values 2nd league: Many devaluations for relegated Admira Wacker
However, Admira has recorded many devaluations: The relegated team disappointed across the board in the autumn and is only in ninth place at the winter break. The team changed coaches two weeks ago, and Lukas Malicsek (going to 400,000 euros), Patrick Puchegger (250,000 euros) and Martin Rasner (350,000 euros) are among those who have lost their market value.
It also went down for Liefering talent Luka Reischl, who – having started his second division career in 2020 with a lot of early praise – was unable to prove himself in the third season with the “Young Bulls”. Its market value is now estimated at 300,000 euros. Second division star Ronivaldo is also unable to assert himself at Blau-Weiss Linz and has recently found himself on the bench more and more often, he is now at 200,000 euros. The now 37-year-old Michael Liendl is devalued to 175,000 euros for age reasons – it remains to be seen whether the new GAK signing will have another professional season on it.
This is how the Transfermarkt market values work
The Transfermarkt market values are created taking into account various pricing models and a strong involvement of the Transfermarkt community, which deals with the values in detailed discussions. The transfer market market values are not to be equated with the transfer fees actually paid.
The goal is not to predict a price, but an expected value. When determining the market value, both individual transfer modalities and situational framework conditions are relevant to a certain extent. become examples of this here listed. Transfermarkt does not use an algorithm (for a detailed market value definition).
