Market: Calhanoglu remains at Inter for now. One focuses on lions

Courtesy meeting, it is said in jargon when we talk (little) and we don’t even get to a negotiation. It is black smoke for Calhanoglu at Galatasaray: this is the synthesis of yesterday, after a contact that the Nerazzurri sports director Piero Ausilio had with the vice -president of the Turkish club, Abdullah Kavukçu. There are no conditions to really sit and start talking about numbers, because the gala does not have the operating margins to try the lunge. Calhanoglu is therefore much closer today to stay at Inter rather than to reach his beloved Istanbul. Be careful, however, to issue definitive sentences: we are inside a market session just to 10 July, it would be like tracing a year in mid -February. Nothing can be completely excluded. Nor that from here to the next 20 days Galatasaray finds forces for the assault. And not even that other clubs put their eyes on the director.

Certainly, yesterday’s passage is not trivial. Because it opens a scenario that at some point had become the least likely. In fact, the failure to farewell excludes (to date, it must automatically be reiterated) the hunt for Ederson: it is impossible to think that Inter goes to treat the Brazilian of Atalanta regardless, it will certainly not be the farewell of Asllani – who is also putting himself sideways – to free space for him. Rather, Chivu and the club will eventually be good at managing the “return” in Calhanoglu’s team, even after post Charlotte’s clutches. Hakan has a contract until 2027, the leaders plan is as follows: talking to the midfielder, motivating him and asking him the same enormous availability of the last seasons without still thinking about the farewell, in short, keep his head totally on Inter. For a “Legate” deal – Ederson/Calhanoglu – another that instead travels regardless: lions. Inter wants so much the Parma jewel that it changes its strategy. That so far has always been to think around a transfer and then attempts the lunge on the 2006 defender. The new is this: the Nerazzurri club thinks of completing the leoni operation without exits. An addition, not a replacement. An investment for today and for tomorrow that can be considered central, to the point of putting it on the agenda as a priority, not linking it to other business. Leoni is the defender for whom Marotta has gone to say “Yes, he is on our notebook. It is a very interesting profile also for the future of the national team”. It is the player that the DS Ausilio had aimed a year and a half ago, however, failing to close the operation with Sampdoria. And he is a boy on which Chivu himself is ready to put his hand on the fire, for having personally tested the qualities. The turning point means at least two other things. The first is a confirmation: the Nerazzurri club has the financial availability to sink the blow. Seventy million euros have already been invested between Luis Henrique, Bonny and Sucic, another 30 are on site for the defender. Total 100 million, a large figure as well as budget, an availability that has never been seen since summer 2019. And yes, because up to 30 million Marotta and aid are ready to go to win the derby with Milan. Second thing: Bisseck does not new. The defender was removed from the market, he would really start an offer outside the logic. And it is right: the young line cannot start from the sale of the German. It is not, then. Not even here.
