Brazil football legend Mario Zagallo (90) left the hospital in Rio de Janeiro after twelve days of treatment for a respiratory infection.
This was confirmed by the Hospital Barra d’Or of the news agency “AFP”. Zagallo was released on Sunday, and “the wolf” will be 91 on Tuesday.
“After a difficult few days, I’m now 113 percent healthy. Thanks everyone for your support,” Zagallo wrote on Instagram.
He was world champion as a player in 1958 and 1962, as a coach in 1970 and as a technical coordinator in 1994. 13 is his favorite number.
His longtime teammate Pele conveyed his “best wishes” to his “friend” on Monday for a speedy recovery.
