Former soccer world champion Mario Götze has undergone a hair transplant.
“It’s no secret, I can’t hide it anymore,” said the 33-year-old to “bild.de” before Eintracht Frankfurt’s Champions League game on Tuesday (6:45 p.m./DAZN) at SSC Napoli.
“It bothered me a bit how it looked before. Now it feels good, I’m very happy with how it turned out,” explained Götze.
He had been thinking about it for a while and had the treatment done at the end of May: “That was the ideal time because of the summer break and the fact that I was still in the rehab phase. And then I thought: If not now, then when…”
Before Götze, other footballers had reported hair transplants, the most prominent coach being Jürgen Klopp.
