Galatasaray signed an agreement with Portuguese Mario Branco as the Sporting Director.

Branco, the new Sports Director of Galatasaray, watched the Beşiktaş-Gaziantep FK match at Vodafone Park. Branco followed the Karagümrük – Rizespor match at the stadium on Saturday.

STARTED HIS CAREER AS A SCOUT

According to Hürriyet’s news, Branco, who most recently served as the Sporting Director of Famalicao, previously worked in Portuguese clubs Leixoes and Estoril, Romanian club Astra, Croatian club Hajduk Split and Greek club PAOK.

The 46-year-old Portuguese, who started his career as a scout in Pontevedra, continued in the same position at Wisla Krakow, Zaglebie Lubin and Steaua Bucharest. Branco stepped into sporting directorship with Leixoes in 2009.
