Marijke Helwegen is extremely disappointed in Raven van Dorst. The society star always had the feeling that the program maker was very authentic, but he is not. “Not okay.”
For a long time, many people thought that Raven van Dorst was one of the most authentic people on Dutch TV, but nothing could be further from the truth. Even she just conforms to typical television laws. One of the guests on her talk show, Ellen ten Damme, has revealed that the entire dinner scene at Boerderij Van Dorst was staged.
‘Not okay’
Marijke Helwegen is therefore extremely disappointed in Raven. When she watches that farm program now, she no longer knows what to believe: is it real or is it staged?
This breach of trust is a shame, says Marijke. She thinks Raven should have opened up. “Yes. This program pretends that everything is real and nothing is prepared. But that’s fake! If you have to prepare food in front of the camera, which is then thrown away… No, this is not okay,” she says in the Story.
Waste
Rob Geus also finds it very strange that Raven’s guests have to pretend that they are cooking, but at the end of the journey a meal from the catering is served to the table.
He says: “Everything in Boerderij Van Dorst indicates that there is a natural progression. When you hear that the food that they prepare themselves on screen is wasted because the meals are supplied by a catering company… That is not right. I am against wasting food.”
