Marieke Elsinga’s radio break leads to rumours. The experts of Shownieuws find it remarkable that she leaves so suddenly. “She may have been forced,” Albert Verlinde speculates.

Marieke Elsinga will temporarily stop with the morning show of Qmusic, because she wants to prevent a burnout. She announced the news yesterday through an audio message in her program with Mattie Valk. The experts of Shownieuws find it strange that the presenter was not just in the studio to explain her break.

conspiracy

Tooske Ragas notices that there are varying sounds from the Qmusic camp. “He makes it sound like a lot is already going on, while she makes it sound like nothing is wrong and she wants to keep it that way. If so, I think that’s a very wise move. I immediately thought: it is the third time that he is left alone.”

Albert Verlinde points to the rumors from last weekend. Just before Marieke announced her temporary Qmusic break, the well-known radio columnist Patrick Kicken reported that she can no longer handle her early broadcast time and is therefore making the switch to competitor Radio 538. “That is a kind of conspiracy.”

Forced?

Sandra Schuurhof doesn’t think Patrick’s rumor is true. “If you’re going to make a switch, you’re not going to do it this way, are you?”

Albert thinks otherwise. “Well, you can be forced. That they say: ‘Just tell them it’s not possible, we don’t want to keep you until the last minute in the morning.’ But when I hear her like that…”

Although he doesn’t seem to rule it out, Albert himself thinks Marieke is genuinely tired. “Now that I hear this – I don’t know about you – but it does sound like she’s pretty much through it.”

Say goodbye

If Marieke is not acutely overtired, Ronald Molendijk finds it strange that Marieke did not just sit in the studio for a while to give text and explanation. “At the same time, I also think: you might have been there for a while on Friday to say this. It also feels a bit like very urgent all of a sudden.”

He continues: “So you can say goodbye to your listeners for the time being. She didn’t suddenly sit at home sick with a wisdom tooth coming through or something.”

just too much

Why so suddenly? Albert: “That rumor may have been a bit too much, huh? Then you are already a bit near the edge and then this comes in one go.”

Sandra: “Of course it can also be true that she’s done with that morning, huh? Of course you can. Only that can also co-exist.”
