Joel was in primary school when his father was told that his father had ordered drugs from abroad. Classmates began to mock him as a “son of a drug dealer”.
– Really, they were truffles. If it had been the father of someone else, no one would know about it. But because it was my father, everyone learned. It happened at the worst time. If the same thing happened now, no one of my friends would be interested. But in the fourth grade, everyone thought that my father was the devil himself, he recalls to Apu magazine.
When the matter came to light, the classmates began to mock Joel into a “truffle”. Kohu left his mark on the young boy and during high school he says he avoided his parents at school’s parents’ evenings.
