Margit Gosau is giving up one of her management positions at the Sport 2000 retail association.

On January 1st next year, she will hand over her management duties at Sport 2000 GmbH to Dominik Solleder, the parent company ANWR Group eG announced on Tuesday. In the future, Gosau will concentrate on her role as CEO of Sport 2000 International GmbH in order to “consistently dedicate herself to global expansion, the further development of the strategy and the strengthening of the global dealer network”.

Since 2022, Solleder and Gosau have formed the management duo of Sport 2000 GmbH, which is responsible for activities in the so-called “seven-country network” – i.e. in the markets of Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Austria and the Czech Republic. The ANWR Group announced that he will assume “full responsibility” as CEO from the turn of the year and thus ensure “continuity” in the management.

Sport 2000 wants to promote international expansion

In recent years, Margit Gosau has served as CEO of both Sport 2000 GmbH and Sport 2000 International GmbH, which has a total of around 3,000 stores in 17 countries. In the future, she will focus entirely on running Sport 2000 International. “There is unbeatable potential in international expansion, the further development of our global strategies and the strengthening of our dealer network under our Sport 2000, Absolute Run and Absolute Teamsport brands,” she explained in a statement. “That’s where I focus my energy and attention.”

For Tobias Eichmeier, who is on the board of the ANWR Group as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), the latest personnel decisions are groundbreaking: “Strengthening Sport 2000 International GmbH is an important step for the entire group,” he emphasized. “It enables us to establish and further develop Sport 2000 and its specialist formats globally. I am pleased to be setting this course together with the Sport 2000 team.”
