After saying goodbye to Borussia Dortmund and the move to Los Angeles, Marco Reus has a return to his long -term club – in a different function.
According to a report, Marco Reus should become a brand ambassador of Borussia Dortmund and may become active in this role before the end of his sporting career. According to this, the Bundesliga club is already negotiating with his former captain of a commitment, and after completing his profile career, Reus should also sign an official contract.
BVB Managing Director Carsten Cramer had already indicated in a conversation with the “Ruhr Nachrichten” in April that Reus should become a brand ambassador. “If you are as many people as I know there, I would be nice and stupid if I didn’t return,” Reus said shortly after moving the “Sport Bild”.
The 36-year-old moved to Los Angeles Galaxy to the North American football profile MLS a year ago. The contract of the former national player had previously no longer been extended in Dortmund. At his current club, the contract, which runs by Los Angeles Galaxy until the end of 2026, should be extended by another year, it said. A signature of Reus is only a matter of form.
The offensive player should then represent the BVB as a brand ambassador at large events such as draws or sponsorship meetings. Reus is still open whether he will return to Dortmund or stay in Los Angeles. With the Galaxy team he had become MLS champions in his first season. In the new season, the defending champion has not been doing very well so far.
