the emotion of Urbano Cairo

“His health conditions, which have worsened since last spring, have not prevented him from continuing to closely follow the life of the company”, says Urbano Cairo. “We continued to work together as we have always done since 2013 when he took over the job at La7, even though we had already known each other for some years, I would say since 2002-2003″.
“It wasn’t at all a given that we would make it. When I took La7, it was a burden on TV losses of around 100 million. As is known, it took a lot of determination to get the company back on track. AND Marco had this determination but also the ability to be balanced, to know how to motivate people, to work as a team. And so we went forward over the years, years that were so intense and decisive for the success of La7 which climbed the ratings charts.” And again: “In the last few months, when I saw him weaker I limited myself to telling him: do what makes you feel better, what makes you happy. Where you can’t reach, I will arrive.”
The funeral will be held Monday 27 October at 11 am in the Basilica of Santa Maria in Montesanto, the Church of the Artists, in Piazza del Popolo in Rome. The ceremony will be officiated by Bishop Monsignor Antonio Staglianò.
