Marco Dippe changes from Lacoste to Gant

Marco Dippe took over the position of Managing Director Region Central at Swedish fashion company Gant in January. He comes from the French lifestyle brand Lacoste, where he has held various management positions over the past six years. Most recently as CEO EMEA Region & Global Travel Retail, after leading the brand for three years as CEO DACH/Scandinavia. Before that he worked for Esprit and Nike.

With the departure of Lacoste to Gant, however, Dippe only changes the brand, not the parent company. Both fashion brands belong to the Swiss Maus Frères Holding based in Geneva, which also owns the French outdoor brand Aigle, the department store chain Manor, the drugstore chain Parashop and the restaurant chain Manora.

Dippe rose within Lacoste in 2019 after successfully repositioning the Lacoste brand. At that time, Dippe also managed to “strategically realign distribution for the retail and wholesale sectors and made a decisive contribution to Lacoste being perceived by consumers as a premium brand,” explained Lacoste.
