The libertarian intern added a new chapter of high voltage on social networks. National representative Marcela Pagano took aim harshly at Senator Emilia Orozco and accused her of being a criminal through a public message on her X account (former Twitter), where she wrote verbatim: “Anyone who is not a criminal?”
Pagano’s post was a direct reaction to the scandal that featured Orozco in the Senate, after it emerged that the Salta legislator tried to take over an office that did not belong to her, in the midst of the reorganization of offices after the parliamentary change.
According to several media outlets, Orozco had tried to occupy an office already assigned to another senator in the Senate annex building, even placing a sign with her name. The maneuver was detected by the administrative authorities of the Upper House, who intervened to stop the situation and order the reallocation of spaces, in an episode that generated internal unrest and forced the presidency of the body to take action on the matter.
The event was quickly dubbed in the legislative corridors as an attempt to “carancheo” offices, an informal but frequent practice at the beginning of each parliamentary period, although rarely exposed in such an explicit and public way.
Pagano’s reaction did not take long to arrive. Through her social networks, the representative launched her comment without direct mentions, but with an unequivocal message, which was interpreted as a direct accusation against Orozco and which revived tensions within the libertarian ruling party.
The crossing once again exposed the internal fractures in La Libertad Avanza, where disputes arise not only due to ideological differences but also due to personal behaviors and styles. In this case, an administrative discussion ended up escalating to a public accusation with high political impact.
While Orozco’s entourage sought to lower the tone and relativize the episode, Pagano’s message remained installed as a symbol of a harsh climate within Congress, where internal conflicts are increasingly aired in the open and in real time, through social networks.
