Marc van der Linden released after ‘night in jail’, royalty expert responds

Marc van der Linden was released yesterday after spending one night in jail. RTL Boulevard reports this after a tip from Yvonne Coldeweijer, who again had a striking scoop.

There have been bizarre rumors about Marc van der Linden for a while and the source of this is the ratings hit Gossip Talk. After a series of spicy gossip, he suddenly left RTL Boulevard at the beginning of this month. He denied being fired, but strangely enough he was not allowed to say goodbye to the program itself.

‘Marc arrested’

Many people will have heard the gossip about Marc by now. According to Gossip, the royalty expert is an avid user of cocaine and crystal meth and organizes pretty spicy parties, of which a video has also been leaked. His departure from RTL Boulevard would have to do with that.

Yvonne Coldeweijer is now also joining the rumours. She reported yesterday at the end of the afternoon on her juice channel: “Marc van der Linden seems to have been arrested last night or this morning for threat/extortion. He would currently be behind bars! RTL Boulevard, Shownieuws, Telegraaf, can you call this? Thanks bitches.”

Boulevard goes wild

It is clear that RTL Boulevard has now completely broken with the policy of protecting (former) colleagues, because the program immediately threw the news about Marc into the living rooms last night.

Luuk Ikink at the end of the broadcast: “Let’s go back to Yvonne Coldeweijer, there she is again. She has placed another post on her stories and that is quite a heavy message, namely that Marc van der Linden – we all know him here – was arrested last night or this morning on suspicion of extortion and threats.”

Bizarre story

According to Luuk, it is ‘of course a bizarre story’. “We tried to call it after a while. Marc has no manager and cannot be reached himself. We spoke to his sister, but she does not want to comment. We also called the police and they tell us that the house of a 52-year-old man was searched on Wednesday.”

He continues: “That man was arrested and sent back today by order of the public prosecutor. Police declined to say what the man was arrested for. We don’t know exactly what the story is, but it is intense.”

Police respond

Shownieuws has also asked the police for a response and the official statement reads as follows: “Wednesday, in an ongoing investigation, a home of a 52-year-old man was searched. This man was also arrested yesterday as part of that investigation and released today after questioning by order of the public prosecutor.”

The statement was read late last night by Bart Ettekoven. While reading the police statement, he suddenly spoke the word ‘assault’. “Oh sorry, there was another card from Glennis Grace.”

Marc responds

Marc has a column in the Weekend, Bart’s magazine. “I have to say: it came like a bolt from the blue for me too. I didn’t know anything at all. We immediately called the police, because Marc was unreachable for comment for a large part of the evening. (…) His lawyer also did not answer.”

In the end Marc made himself heard, according to Bart. “So Marc was unreachable for a long time and eventually a colleague from Shownieuws got on the phone with him and he said: ‘I’m not stuck. Regards, Marc van der Linden.’”

But the night before? Marc is silent on social media.
