DFB star Ter Stegen reacts to rumors about marriage

On Thursday, Marc-André Ter Stegen announced his marriage. In the following days, rumors circulated on the reasons. The international now fought against it.
After eight years of marriage, Marc-André Ter Stegen and his wife Daniela go separate paths. The national goalkeeper announced this last week (you can read more about this here). “As you can imagine, this decision was not easy for us, but we both believe that it is the best step for us,” it said in the statement. Ter Stegen did not prize any details about the reasons.
However, some rumors circulated in the following days. The public service radio broadcaster Catalunya Radio spoke of the fact that Ter Stegen’s partner had cheated on him. The 32-year-old now clearly opposed this. Ter Stegen wrote on the platform X: “I am shocked and disappointed with the bad management and lack of leadership and control at Catalunya Radio & 3cat Group, where false messages were spread and personal rights were violated.”
Ter Stegen made it clear: “There was no infidelity of Daniela. No third person was involved. Fact. As communicated, Dani and I decided to go separate ways, maintaining trusting communication.”
In addition, it is “unacceptable” that the public service broadcaster spread this message and incorrectly accused Daniela. “The damage is irreparable. Thank you,” added the disappointed national goalkeeper at the end of his statement.
Marc-André Ter Stegen and Daniela married in the Spanish seaside resort of Sitges in spring 2017. The now separate couple has two children together. Ter Stegen is currently under construction after a long injury and hopes to return to the pitch for FC Barcelona this season.
