The future of Marc-André Ter Stegen remains uncertain. Ter Stegen himself wants to be the German number one at the 2026 World Cup, but he has to play in the club. FC Barcelona, where he is still under contract until 2028, has signed Joan García from City Rival Espanyol as a new goalkeeper and has also extended the contract with substitute Wojciech Szczęsny.
