THEn format digital on February 13th and physical on the 27th: these are the release dates of the new album by Mara Sattei, What do I do with time, already highly anticipated by the singer-songwriter’s fans. The artist herself made the announcement on her social channels, full of enthusiasm: “I can’t wait, after four years, to share this new journey with you.”

What do I do with the time will be released on the eve of the singer’s participation in the Sanremo Festival. Mara Sattei will return to the Ariston stage with the song The things you don’t know about me.
For the artist it will be the second participation in the Festival after his 2023 debut with the song Two thousand minutes, written by Damiano David of Måneskin and produced by the rapper Thasuppseudonym of Davide Mattei and brother of Mara (the singer’s real name is Sara Mattei, ed). On that occasion Sattei came in 19th place, but did not lose heart, so much so that he later had important success and the general public immediately appreciated his qualities.

Mara Sattei, in fact, is today one of the most appreciated voices on the Italian music scene. Celebrated thirty years last April, he took his first steps on YouTube, when he ran a channel that dealt with covers of famous songs. The turning point came with participation in the talent show Friends, in 2013. The victory went to rapper Moreno Donadoni, but Mara Sattei managed to stand out anyway, releasing the EP of covers Fragments: acoustic covers N. 1.
«It was educational.” declared of that experience in 2022, speaking with the Corriere della Sera, «I think everyone has a right moment in life, At the time, I didn’t have a clear focus on what I wanted to do and I really had to grow up, but it gave me a first taste of what it meant to be in music.”
A success that came early
He knew, however, that music would be his life. And today they are in his “collection”. 18 platinum and 6 gold recordsas well as many important collaborations. In addition to his brother, Sattei has worked with Fedez, Tananai, Gazzelle and Giorgiajust to name a few. 2026 could be his year, with the return to Ariston and the new album.
