Many Finns have a misconception about their own skin. It can lead to irritated skin.
The temperature variation in the spring puts the skin to the test, and the skin may now be more sensitive than usual. Reaction sensitivity may be reflected in the skin, for example, as pimples, redness or flaking.
Cosmetologist and Product Specialist Johanna Ronkainen Midsona says that it is not worthwhile if the skin feels exceptionally difficult right now. The situation, however, calms down as the temperatures stabilize.
– If your skin feels irritated, you should focus on moisturizing and soothing it and leaving stronger ingredients such as retinol and acid pause. Right now, it is also paramount to remember to protect the skin from the sun, as after winter, the skin is particularly prone to the adverse effects of the sun and especially to pigment changes, if there is a tendency.
Ronkainen recommends preparing for the spring sun with a high protection factor. And high enough with one.
– SPF 30 is now a minimum in the odds.
Looking at the soap
In addition to greasing hands, dry skin sufferers should pay attention to the choice of hand soap, as it can have a surprisingly large effect on the condition of the hands of the hands. Grease alone is not enough if the soap choice is wrong.
– It would be good for the soap to not contain too washing sulfates. They also easily wash off the natural skin protection, Ronkainen explains.
It is a good idea to take advantage of the nighttime moisturizing. If your hands are particularly dry, Ronkainen urges you to apply a lighter, moisture -rich cream in the evening before going to bed. After that, a very greasy cream is applied to the hands.
– This allows the skin to utilize the ingredients of the creams during the night and to repair itself. Due to charging this night, in my experience, the skin will also withstand the stress of the upcoming day.
In addition to the moisturizer, it is also advisable to use a power -moisturizing product such as serum or treatment fluid, says cosmetologist Johanna Ronkainen. Adobe Stock / AOP
Many people are wrong with your own skin
According to Ronkainen, Finns have a particularly bad way to deaf their skin with cleaning products that are too wash.
– Many people do not understand what kind of harm they do for their skin. Many also classify their skin as impure, although almost all of us have dry or at least surface dry skin, especially in the cold season.
In these cases, for example, the use of gel-like, mixed and oily skin will further dry the skin. This, in turn, often causes skin blockage, impurities and irritation of the skin.
– It would be quite important to use cleaning products that do not dry the skin, but of course cleanse well. As a guideline, if the skin feels at all tightening the skin, the product is too washable for the skin. I think oily or in Balm’s cleansing products would be the best option for almost everyone, unless the skin happens to be exceptionally oily.
