After 30 years, the time has finally come next year: “MANTA MANTA – Second Part” will be shown in German cinemas from March 30th. The film was produced by Christoph Müller, Viola Jäger and Philipp Reuter, directed by Til Schweiger.

As in the first part from 1991, Til Schweiger, Tina Ruland and Michael Kessler will be on screen from March. There are also Luna Schweiger, Tim Oliver Schultz, Tamer Trasoglu, Ronis Goliath, Moritz Bleibtreu, Nilam Farooq, Justus Johanssen, Timur Bartels, Wotan Wilke Möhring and Axel Stein. Lukas Podolski, Alena Gerber Fritz, JP Kraemer and Frank Buschmann complete the cast with their guest appearances.

From the old Opel to the Manta bullet

That’s what the film is about: Because nothing came of his career as a racing driver, Bertie (Til Schweiger) runs a car repair shop with an attached go-kart track. After a chain of unfortunate events, the driver finds himself in financial difficulties – the only solution seems to be the cash prize of an upcoming car race. So Bertie sets himself the goal of tuning an old Opel into a fast Manta sled and winning the race.

For fans there is already the first teaser here:
