Måneskin cover Oasis song “Don’t Look Back In Anger” (video)

But the band believes the Gallaghers think the cover is “fucking rubbish”.

On December 19th, Måneskin ended their “Rush!” tour in Manchester, England, after about four months. At their final concert, they not only performed their own hits like “Zitti E Buoni” and “I Wanna Be Your Slave,” but also performed a cover of “Don’t Look Back In Anger” by Oasis.

Italian rock meets Brit pop

“This damn city has produced a lot of very, very good bands,” singer Damiano David began the track and continued: “But there is one in particular that is particularly beautiful.” Even before they presented their version of the Britpop song , the Italian had a playful preview of how their version would be received, at least by the former duo, consisting of siblings Noel and Liam Gallagher: “We’re sure when they hear this cover one day, they’ll think it’s damned “It’s rubbish.”

However, the visitors to the AO Arena seemed to really like it – after a few chords from guitarist Thomas Raggi, the crowd in the UK burst into cheers and quickly formed a carpet of cell phone flashlights.

“We are counting the days until we see you again”

Their performance in Manchester was the last of a total of 30 gigs that the Italian rock band has performed in recent months. The quartet has traveled to five continents since September on their “Rush!” tour to support their record RUSH! (ARE YOU COMING?) live. On December 20th, the day after their final show, Måneskin reported on theirs Instagram-Story to their followers and let them know: “There are no words to describe the feeling when a tour comes to an end… We just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this crazy ride and the fulfilling experiences. From Europe to the UK, through the States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Ireland… WE LOVE YOU. This is a farewell and until then we count the days until we see you again.”
