If André Onana leaves for the African Cup of Nations, United would need another goalkeeper

He Manchester United is considering the possibility of refishing David De Gea three months after letting him out after Erik ten Hag decided to do without the Madrid native to look for another profile for the goal.

The United manager chose André Onana who arrived from Inter Milan for 47 million pounds. But the African Cup of Nations would force Onana to miss up to eight games in January, should he decide to join Cameroon.

The Sun claims that United are planning the return of De Gea, especially considering that he is still a free agent since he left. Yeah Onana was gone, Ten Hag would stay with Altay Bayindirwho has not yet made his debut for United and with the experienced Tom Heatonwho has been injured.

United are now willing to turn to De Gea even though just a few months ago he showed him the exit door. It should be remembered that United wanted to retain De Gea before he left, but with a salary reduced.

The Madrid native refused to accept the drastic £375,000-a-week pay cut after months of lengthy negotiations with the club. De Gea reunited with his former Manchester United teammates on Monday, when Bruno Fernandes took to social media to share his “coffee and friends” date with the goalkeeper and a handful of Red Devils stars.
