Manchester City starts bidding for Wirtz! Is FC Bayern leaving?

Hardly a day goes by without new rumors about Florian Wirtz’s future. Manchester City is now apparently serious about the poker for the youngster from Bayer Leverkusen. Is this why FC Bayern is leaving?

As the portal “todofichajes.com” reports, team manager Pep Guardiola is determined to lure Wirtz to Manchester City in the summer.

Accordingly, the Sky Blues are ready to pay the transfer fee of 100 million euros demanded by Bayer Leverkusen.

But ManCity is not alone in wooing Wirtz. FC Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and FC Bayern have long been said to be interested in the national player.

Will FC Bayern get out of the poker game for Wirtz?

If Leverkusen actually thinks about selling the top performer in the summer, the club will at least be faced with crazy competition from the best and most solvent clubs on the continent.

Wirtz’s contract is dated until 2027. There is probably no release clause, so his transfer fee would be freely negotiable.

After tearing his cruciate ligament almost two years ago, the youngster has developed into a difference player for the Bundesliga leaders under B04 head coach Xabi Alonso.

He has been on the pitch in all 22 Bundesliga games so far, contributing 14 direct goals (five goals and nine assists). There are also two goals and four assists in the Europa League.

“Sport Bild” recently reported that FC Bayern had withdrawn from poker around Wirtz. Accordingly, the 20-year-old is simply too expensive for the people of Munich.

At Säbener Straße it is assumed that the 14-time national player will cost a transfer fee of at least 130 million euros.

Added to this is the fact that Wirtz is already one of the top earners in Leverkusen and is expected to collect around 7.5 million euros per year. It is said that this salary could double in the event of a move to a larger club.

Only a farewell to Jamal Musiala could supposedly change the situation again.
