Attack on a 38-year-old woman in the U7 on Friday afternoon in Berlin!

A 38-year-old woman was traveling in the U7 at around 4:30 p.m. There, shortly after the Johannisthaler Chaussee train station, an unknown man is said to have suggested with gestures that she should take off her headscarf.

The woman ignored this. The man is said to have tried to tear the headscarf from her head. Other passengers intervened and were able to prevent the attack, the police said on Saturday.

The police arrived at the Parchimer Allee underground station. Now the police state security of the State Criminal Police Office is investigating: A political motivation for the crime cannot be ruled out.
